The Role
This is a hands-on, part-time role focused on planning, managing, and improving paid digital advertising campaigns. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager, Social Media Lead, and wider marketing team to ensure paid activity supports wider marketing objectives.
The role covers both Thornton & Lowe group brands and client campaigns, with a clear focus on performance, lead quality, and sensible budget use.

Thornton & Lowe is a management consultancy established in 2009, supporting organisations across the public and private sectors. Our work spans bid writing, procurement, marketing, commercial services, and software, with clients across housing, construction, infrastructure, professional services, and the public sector.
We are growing our in-house marketing capability and are looking for a Digital Advertising Manager to take responsibility for paid digital activity across our own brands and selected client accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Advertising Management
- Manage paid digital advertising across Thornton & Lowe brands and client accounts
- Plan and deliver campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
- Manage budgets and monitor spend to achieve strong return on investment
- Test and improve ads, audiences, and landing pages
Performance & Reporting
- Set up and maintain tracking using Google Tag Manager and GA4
- Monitor performance and make ongoing improvements
- Produce clear, practical performance reports
- Share insights and recommendations with the Marketing Manager and wider team
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager, Social Media Lead, and content team
- Ensure paid advertising aligns with social, SEO, and wider marketing activity
- Support client-facing teams where paid advertising forms part of delivery
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience managing paid digital advertising campaigns
- Strong working knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Tag Manager, and GA4
- Experience managing multiple campaigns at once
- Confident working with performance data and budgets
- Able to communicate results clearly and practically
- Ability to showcase some previous results and talk through changes made
