Job Responsibilities / Job BriefWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our hedge fund’s data platform team. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data across the organization, while providing operational and administrative support to investment and risk teams. You will work closely with portfolio managers, data scientists, and external vendors to streamline the workflow of data purchase, onboarding, and governance.

• Identify, evaluate, and acquire new data sources to support investment strategies.
• Coordinate with vendors on contracts, pricing, and licensing terms.
• Assist in the workflow of data procurement, including approvals, documentation, and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with technology teams to ensure smooth integration of acquired datasets into the platform.
• Maintain records of data usage, costs, and vendor performance.
• Provide operational support to the data platform team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in data operations, procurement, or financial services preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with market data, alternative data, or hedge fund workflows is a plus.
• Excellent communication and vendor management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Good to have

• Prior experience in hedge fund, asset management, or financial services operations.
• Exposure to portfolio management systems and market data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters).
