Senior Accountant

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Participation in the month closing process (prepaid calculation and booking, analyzes, reconciliations etc)
• Preparing and providing financial data for monthly reporting
• Assistance with BS reconciliations
• P&L review
• Preparation of blanket PO’s and booking of corresponding supplier invoices
• Good knowledge on tax treatments in UAE (VAT, CIT, Excise). Would be required to prepare tax reports.
• Reviewing and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the bookkeeping
• Providing our partners with monthly/quarterly reports
• Execute standard processes within the team according to the procedures
• Assist in performing internal controls including month-end activities according to control framework
• Undertaking research and analysis tasks and any other ad-hoc duties related to general business and financial activities
• Actively supporting 1ADM project in stabilization phase

Requirements

• 3+ years in General Ledger or financial audit
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (being an ACCA/CIMA member/student will be an advantage)
• Fluent in English
• Efficient use of MS Office (in particular MS Excel)
• Working knowledge of other modern ERP systems (preferably SAP, Blackline and Coupa)
• Creating a positive work environment through teamwork & conflict resolution
• Willingness to work 5 days per week from our UAE office
