Senior Accountant and Cash Flow Analyst

Summary: 

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our growing renewable energy team. This role will be responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of 20 solar farms, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information. Additionally, the position will process cash waterfalls for each farm, ensuring compliance with financing agreements and other legal documents.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Maintain accurate general ledger records for 20 solar farm entities. 

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

• Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis.

• Execute cash flow waterfalls and distributions.

• Prepare detailed waterfall reports for internal stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with finance agreements and other legal documents.

• Assist with other Treasury related tasks as necessary.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred

• Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in energy or project finance.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting for multiple entities.

• Experience with cash waterfall processing and complex capital structures is highly desirable.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems

• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

•  Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

 

 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment: 

• Work is performed in an office environment and in the field. No work from home is permitted.

• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds.
