Cloud Engineer

Salary Range: 

$75,000 - $95,000

 

Under general direction, the Cloud Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, documenting and providing sustained innovation for physical and virtual servers, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS solutions and associated applications. *Position is on-site in our Bloomington, IL office.*

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provide tactical design direction and make recommendations in developing solution roadmap.
• Develop and review design artifacts for Private/Public cloud environment.
• Engineer advanced server and cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with solution architecture and solution delivery to build new products and improve existing products.
• Research and consult with resources and industry experts to ensure the effectiveness provided solutions.
• Operationalize solutions through documentation, automation of common tasks, and maturing processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a technical role preferred.
• Experience with technologies including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, along with Windows Server, VMware, Linux, SAN storage, and server hardware.
• Can apply an entrepreneurial approach and passion to problem solving to building solutions.
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to pay attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and handle shifting priorities.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills are required.
