Job Title: Senior Finance Manager External Performance
Location: 100VE
Work Level: WL2C
Job Purpose:
The Global Corporate Strategy Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the comprehensive refresh of Unilever’s mid- to long-term value creation framework which is presented to and approved by Unilever’s board every year. This framework, including the FGM of the company, should optimize total shareholder value while aligning with Unilever’s internal priorities and external commitments to stakeholders (i-e the ambition of Top 1/3rd TSR). The role requires close collaboration with strategy leads across Business Groups (BGs), as well as central finance teams including Tax, Treasury, M&A, and Investor Relations. Additionally, the Strategy Manager will support the M&A team on an ad-hoc basis, contributing to long-term portfolio strategy, including acquisition priorities and portfolio rationalization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the annual corporate strategy cycle, including preparation and facilitation of key Unilever Leadership Executive (ULE) and strategy board sessions.
• Collaborate with Business Group strategy leads to develop a three-year Financial Growth Model (FGM), ensuring alignment on top-line and bottom-line growth outlook and each BG’s appropriate contribution to overall value creation framework.
• Work cross-functionally with finance teams to incorporate the latest assumptions on costs, inflation, investments, and one-off items into the FGM.
• Benchmark Unilever’s FGM against peer consensus to assess strategic ambition and recalibrate as needed to meet long-term company objectives.
• Refresh the company’s capital structure strategy, covering dividend policy, share buybacks, M&A activity, and debt profile.
• Coordinate with the performance management team to ensure seamless integration of strategic FGM outputs into annual budgets and performance targets following board approval.

Recruitment Fraud
Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
What can I do?
If you become aware of potential recruitment fraud, spot fake Unilever recruitment adverts or fake LinkedIn profiles, report them via Una Live Chat.
Unilever does not accept responsibility or liability for any candidates who are financially impacted by recruitment fraud. Your vigilance is key!
