The salary range for this role is $67,040.00 to $92,180.00. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Job Summary: 

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to grow your expertise in Canadian financial reporting? Pernod Ricard’s North America Accounting team is seeking a Senior Accountant with experience with IFRS financial statement preparation. In this role, you will focus on quarterly filings for Corby Spirit and Wine Limited, a publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange, while maintaining accurate monthly reporting and balance sheet responsibilities. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial integrity, support audits, and contribute to management reporting, while playing a visible role in a dynamic, multinational organization. This is an exciting opportunity to strengthen your IFRS expertise and influence financial reporting processes in a high-impact environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Draft quarterly and annual IFRS financial statements and note disclosures for Corby Spirit and Wine Limited, maintaining complete supporting documentation for compliance purposes.

  • Support quarterly regulatory filings, including Management Discussion & Analysis documents, Audit Committee schedules, and financial presentations.

  • Lead and coordinate aspects of the month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, adjustments, and assigned balance sheet account reconciliations.

  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting packages for North America management and stakeholders.

  • Record and analyze asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries, maintain subsidiary accounts, and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy.

  • Assist with half-year and year-end consolidated reporting packages, including documentation required for external audits.

  • Research and resolve accounting issues related to IFRS updates, business changes, and ad hoc reporting requests.

  • Partner with junior staff to review reconciliations and support continuous improvement of financial reporting processes.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • Canadian CPA designation (or equivalent)

  • 2+ years of accounting experience in a financial reporting or corporate accounting environment

  • Hands-on experience preparing IFRS financial statements and related disclosures

  • Experience supporting quarterly and annual close processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Working knowledge of internal controls and compliance requirements related to financial reporting

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting

  • Experience using enterprise accounting systems (e.g., JD Edwards or similar ERP platforms)
