Human Resources Manager – Transport, Mining and Civil

Hampton Transport is seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to lead and manage all HR functions across our transport and mining operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for supporting operational teams, ensuring compliance in highly regulated environments, and driving people-focused initiatives across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations
• Provide HR advice to managers across transport and mining sites
• Manage industrial and employee relations, including investigations, grievances, and disciplinary processes
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and site-specific requirements
• Oversee workforce planning, training, and development initiatives
• Support WHS and fitness-for-work requirements, including medicals and clearance
• Maintain HR systems, reporting, and documentation
• Drive employee engagement and a strong safety-first workplace culture

About You

• Proven experience as an HR Manager or senior HR professional, ideally within transport, mining, or heavy industry
• Proficient in Pronto and Preceda systems
• Strong working knowledge of Fair Work legislation, awards, and industrial relations
• Experience supporting site-based and blue-collar workforces
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, operational environment
• Relevant HR qualifications (tertiary qualifications desirable)
