Purpose of Role: This role is pivotal in leading the quality transformation and building a proactive, high-performance quality organization in China. The successful candidate will be fully responsible for the strategic revitalization of the product quality management system, driving a culture of excellence that exceeds the elevated standards of our product portfolio and new business ventures. This involves moving beyond compliance to establish a robust, effective quality framework that ensures product integrity, enhances customer trust, and supports ambitious growth plans in a complex, multi-site, and internationally collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities: (What are the top 4 focus areas of the job, Safety First is required) · Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Strategic Leadership & Brand Elevation:

  • Develop and implement a transformative quality management strategy aligned with the premium brand promise, ensuring a significant leap in product reliability, performance, and customer perception.

  • Own and drive the comprehensive update and effective implementation of the entire Quality Management System (QMS). Move beyond audit-focused documentation to establish a living system that is integral to daily operations, decision-making, and continuous improvement across both Wuxi and Binhu sites.

Technical Quality Integration & New Product Launch:

  • Proactively lead quality integration for new product introductions (NPI) to ensure early and deep quality involvement from design transfer through to stable production, establishing robust control plans and coordinating closely with stakeholders.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary quality liaison for international stakeholders, including Design, Product Application, and Project Management teams. Ensure seamless communication, timely resolution of technical quality issues, and alignment on specifications and standards.

  • Foster exceptional cross-departmental collaboration with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Engineering within China to embed quality at every stage of the value chain.

Team Development & Capability Building:

  • Optimize and empower the quality team. Develop and execute a capability uplift plan to enhance the team's technical competence, analytical skills (e.g., root cause analysis, statistical tools), and business acumen.

  • Manage, mentor, and develop quality team members across both factories, creating a cohesive and high-performing unit.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement:

  • Manage supplier quality robustly, conducting audits and driving improvements to ensure incoming material quality supports the elevated standards.

  • Handle customer complaints and internal non-conformances with urgency, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) that address systemic root causes.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on quality KPIs and data trends to the China Manufacturing Director and relevant stakeholders, providing actionable insights.

  • Conduct value-added internal audits and manage external audits (e.g., ISO 9001) to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.

  • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. .

Personal Leadership:

  • Demonstrate strong leadership in high-pressure environments, managing stress effectively and maintaining a positive, results-oriented attitude.

  • Set clear, ambitious quality objectives and motivate the team towards achieving them.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: (Add MAX 4 bullets of desired eligibility requirements) ·

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., ASQ CQE, CMQ/OE) are a plus.

  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive quality management experience, with at least 7 years in a leadership role managing multi-site quality teams within capital equipment, heavy machinery, or precision mechanical manufacturing.

  • Mandatory in-depth experience with machining (CNC), casting, welding, and assembly processes. Specific experience with crushing equipment or similar heavy industrial products is highly advantageous.

  • Proven track record of successfully revitalizing an ineffective QMS, moving it from a bureaucratic exercise to an operational asset that drives tangible quality and business improvements.

  • Demonstrated experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), specifically in managing quality from technology transfer through to stable production. Experience working directly with international R&D/engineering teams is essential.

  • Expertise in quality core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) and problem-solving methodologies (8D, RCA).

  • Held a Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001 (or similar) with extensive audit experience.

  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and influencing skills in both English and Mandarin. Must be able to conduct technical discussions, write comprehensive reports, and build strong relationships with international teams and customers.

  • Strong people leader with a proven ability to develop teams, manage performance, and inspire a quality culture.
