Luminor Group.com
Office
Tallinn, Estonia
Full Time
Join our team as a Senior Product Owner!
Yes, you can! That's our attitude towards our work, ambitions, ideas, and relationships. We at Luminor believe that anyone has the potential to achieve big things and encourage everyone to achieve them, professionally and personally.
Whoever you are and whatever your role is, with Luminor, you will get a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build a local banking champion.
We are looking for a "Technical Product Owner" with strong systems thinking who is not afraid of APIs, General Ledger (GL) entries, complex calculation logic, and regulatory requirements. Experience in Banking Collections/Recovery is mandatory. In this role, you will own the logic that ensures the bank recovers funds correctly, compliantly, and efficiently.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Ensure a unified approach to Delinquency Management for all segments (Retail + Corporate) and products
Own the logic for automated repayment orchestration and priority management
Collaborate with Core Banking and Channel teams to ensure data consistency across the repayment lifecycle
What Makes You a Great Fit
Essential Domain Knowledge (Must-Haves):
Debt Lifecycle: Deep understanding of the end-to-end flow: from Early Collection (Soft) to Late Collection (Hard), Restructuring/Forbearance, and Write-offs
Payment Hierarchies (Waterfalls): Knowledge of how payments are allocated (Fees -> Interest -> Principal) and how this varies by regulation or contract type
Accounting Basics: Understanding of how loan events affect the General Ledger (GL), including accruals, provisions (IFRS 9 stages), and bad debt recognition
Requirements:
Lending & Collections Domain: Deep knowledge of loan repayment processes, delinquency management, and penalty/interest calculations. Experience with Retail and Corporate products
Technical Savvy (API & Logic): Ability to read and discuss technical documentation. Understanding of synchronous/asynchronous calls and Event-driven architecture
Core Banking Knowledge: Knowledge of Oracle Flexcube (or another major CBS) logic regarding Accounting, Limits, and Asset Classification is a huge plus
Regulatory Logic: Understanding of strict regulatory requirements for funds debiting, account blocking, and repayment priority rules
Technical Backlog Ownership: Ability to structure a technical backlog where dependencies matter more than UI. Understand that "API A must be ready before Service B" and prioritize accordingly. Skills in breaking down monolithic technical tasks into deliverable iterations (slices)
Detailed Specification Writing: Experience in writing User Stories that look like technical specs: covering happy paths, edge cases, error handling, and data mapping. "Vague" is not in your vocabulary
Team Interaction (Dev-Centric): Ability to speak the same language as backend developers and architects. Ability to discuss API contracts and logic flaws during refinement sessions effectively
Agile Execution: Hands-on experience facilitating Agile ceremonies (Refinement, Planning, Review). Ability to ensure the dev team is unblocked and understands what to build and why.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Ability to act as the daily bridge between Business and IT. Not just forward emails, but translate "Banker language" into "Developer language" and vice versa
Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
