Labour Hire - Production Engineer (Surface Mining)

    Production Engineer, Surface, 3 Month Contract, FIFO EX Perth, 8/9 Roster, 12 hour days. 

 In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist the Senior Engineer with the preparation of medium- and long-term plans and forecasts
• Develop drill and blast designs that maximise ore extraction and minimise dilution
• Liaise with the operational and technical teams for short to medium term schedule implementation
• Apprising the Mining Manager of issues that may affect safe and efficient production through frequent communication in an appropriate manner

 

   What we are looking for in our successful candidate:

• A valid manual driver’s licence.

• Completed tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• A WA Quarry Manager’s Certificate of Competency would be highly regarded but not essential
• Open Pit demonstrated engineering experience, with exposure to drill and blast design, preferably gold
• Previous exposure to Microsoft office, Deswik CAD experience is an advantage.
