Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is seeking a Database Administrator with IT infrastructure administration experience at its Beavercreek, Ohio facility. This candidate will be an active part of a team of Database Administrators who will share in the management and advising of the database environment for the facility. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong technical skills to achieve high availability, security, and integrity for the operating environment. They should have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Once clearance is properly obtained, the candidate will be expected to work on-site at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. NASIC is responsible for creating all-source intelligence defining the present and future air, air defense, cyber, space and ballistic missile threats to enable military operations, force modernization, and policy making.
Basic Qualifications for a Database Administrator:
- Ability to obtain Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.
- IAT Level II certification such as SecurityX (formerly CASP+) or Security+
- One of the following:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent with 6 years’ relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 2 years’ related experience.
- Strong understanding of system administration, including server management and operating systems.
- Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices for protecting sensitive data and ensuring system integrity.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions under time constraints.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle (or similar relational database solution), MarkLogic, ArangoDB.
- Windows or Linux environments Systems Administration.
- Experience with Apache, NGINX, or JBoss Server administration.
- Experience with scripting using tools such as Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell, etc.
- Experience with virtualization such as VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V.
