RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across the group.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate management reports for decision-making.
  • Analyse financial trends, performance, and recommend corrective actions.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, banking relationships, and liquidity. ·
  • Approve payments, disbursements, and ensure proper cash controls.
  • Oversee project financing, loan schedules, and repayment plans.

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Implement and strengthen internal controls across all finance functions.
  • Ensure compliance with FIRS, State IRS, VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other tax regulations.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.

Project & Cost Accounting

  • Track real estate project costs and ensure accurate cost allocations.
  • Monitor project budgets, variations, and profitability.
  • Work closely with project managers, procurement, and contractors to manage spend.

Strategic Support

  • Provide financial insights to support investment decisions and feasibility studies.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and long-term business growth.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise the finance & accounting team.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and ethical behaviour.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA (required).
  • Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience, preferably in real estate, construction, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, IFRS, and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
