About the Role
We are looking for a strategic, business-savvy Marketing Analyst who can bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution to enable the marketing organization to drive pipeline, and help improve sales outcomes. This role goes beyond hands-on analytics development, requiring someone who deeply understands stakeholder needs, translates them into project requirements, and oversees the development of meaningful insights through dashboards and reporting. In this role, you’ll serve as the primary analytics partner to the marketing organization, helping drive data-informed decision-making across the customer lifecycle for your marketing stakeholders. You will guide junior team members through dashboard and reporting development, ensure data integrity through thorough QA, and directly contribute to analysis and development as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering: Act as the primary analytics partner for marketing and cross-functional stakeholders. Understand their goals and challenges, and translate those into clear business questions and analytical solutions.
- Analytics Project Scoping & Strategy: Scope analytics projects aligned to business priorities, ensuring requests are structured, feasible, and actionable. See projects through to completion.
- Define KPIs, success metrics, and reporting frameworks to measure performance and guide strategy.
- Hands-On Dashboard and Reporting Development: Build and enhance dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights into campaign performance, pipeline contribution, funnel progression, and customer engagement.
- QA & Data Accuracy: Lead quality assurance for dashboards and data visualizations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business definitions.
- Storytelling & Insight Delivery: Package and present insights in a way that influences decision-making and drives strategy.
- Collaboration with Technical Teams: Partner with marketing operations, sales operations, and data engineering to troubleshoot data issues, define requirements for new data sources, and improve the quality of the analytics foundation.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in marketing analytics, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment
- Deep understanding of SaaS marketing funnels, pipeline contribution, customer lifecycle metrics, and campaign attribution
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous business needs into structured analytical solutions
- Experience guiding business partners through analytical use cases and recommendations
- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker), as well as native Salesforce and Marketo reporting functionality
- Strong data visualization skills, with a portfolio of dashboards used by marketing and executive stakeholders
- Familiarity with marketing and CRM platforms like Marketo, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders across varying levels of technical knowledge
- Must be able to work 7:30 to 11:30 PM IST to effectively collaborate with teams in Pacific Time Zone
