Job Description

The SLQM handles quality undertakings during the serial life of a Powertrain Family Program or Propulsion Generation to ensure that quality product/system targets are achieved on a worldwide perimeter. For that, the Serial Life Quality Manager is expected to carry out the following activities and responsibilities:

  • Build and drive the quality convergence plan per product to achieve the objectives defined by the quality contracting authority (CX).
  • Make a projection of quality results within their field of activity. Break down indicators, warranty claims (3MIS - 12MIS & 24MIS), warranty costs (24MIS & 60MIS), and other CX KPIs.
  • Mobilize all stakeholders for field issues in coordination with Quality Plant Managers, Supplier Quality and Control Tower, and manage the escalation process to ensure efficient and rapid responsiveness for quality issues.
  • For overseas applications, mobilize and coordinate the core team when dealing with TOP10 core engineering issues from the Regions.
  • Manage the treatment of the portfolio of Engineering Quality issues (QIT), ensuring records are maintained in GIM/PLM.
  • Support the Issue Engineering pilot with all quality data, methodologies (problem solving), and reports (one-pagers).
  • Ensure that production non-conformities are handled by the factory quality services.
  • Provide the quality synthesis for warranty tables, FEW, and ECI CX meetings.
  • Establish, with the Safety expert, the Risk Assessment in the case of a "Safety Alert Sheet".
  • Identify potential service campaigns and escalate to the CX Field Action organization for instruction and decision.
  • Ensure that Lesson Learned elements from serial life quality are taken into account by projects under development.

Main Activities:

The SLQM’s endeavors have direct impacts on the performance of the quality objectives (failure rate, guaranteed cost, warranty failures, NCBS survey, etc.). As part of PRS product quality targets in mass production across a worldwide perimeter, the SLQM is the prime contractor for quality-related topics, ensuring the satisfaction and expectations of customers are met or exceeded. For that, the SLQM is expected to apply relevant existing procedures and lead/attend dedicated rituals.

Results to Produce:

  • Ensure the achievement of quality objectives of CX for PRS.
  • Propose technical solutions to be applied in mass production and by the Aftersales division for handling customer field quality concerns.
  • Decide on the resolution of a customer field quality issue.
  • Propose customer modernization scenarios.
  • Represent PRS towards CX, MFG, and Aftersales during the CUQ / Crisis Cell.

Qualifications

A qualified Engineer (BAC+5) with 1 to 3 years of experience in a technical and industrial environment, bringing a solid foundation in quality management and cross-functional project collaboration.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in problem-solving methodologies and quality processes
  • Solid understanding of product design (including system and architecture-level design)
  • Familiar with industrial processes and production environments
  • Experienced in project work and managing deliverables
  • Skilled in navigating and contributing within collaborative and cross-functional contexts

Managerial and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong ability to convince, communicate, and effectively manage quality issue resolution
  • Competent in risk analysis and understanding the impact of potential issues
  • Proven ability to mobilize and lead transversal teams toward shared objectives
  • Demonstrates autonomy and adaptability in learning and applying new tools and procedures
  • High level of rigor and attention to detail
