Core Responsibilities
This role focuses on financial controlling and general ledger activities, with opportunities to get involved in strategic projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to navigate a dynamic environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Support monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring supporting explanations are accurate and follow-ups on outstanding balances are completed.
- Assist with internal and external reporting, including audit requirements.
- Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring consistency, completeness, and correct coding according to local accounting standards.
- Perform variance analyses for account movements to help maintain accurate financial records.
- Support audits, tax reviews, and other financial compliance activities.
- Assist in preparing government reports and ad hoc financial information requests.
- Collaborate across geographies and departments, helping to maintain strong partnerships and a positive team culture.
- Participate in GL or Controlling projects, contributing with relevant ideas and support , ensuring a correct implementation
This is a temporary 18-month position as part of a strategic GL project. The role is based in Prague – Jinonice, relocation assistance is not provided.
About the Team
The LEGO Business Service Operations (BSO) is a shared service center delivering HR and Finance services across the LEGO Group from Monterrey, Prague, and Singapore. The GL department plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and reliable financial processes and fostering collaboration across the organization.
Do you have what it takes?
- Experience in General Ledger or Financial Controlling.
- Exposure to international accounting environments is a plus.
- Experience supporting projects in a dynamic setting.
- Good communication and partner management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.
- Proactive, curious, and a team player who enjoys supporting colleagues in achieving shared goals.
