We’re looking for a UK Finance Manager to support the UK Financial Controller across accounting, reporting, audits, tax, and internal controls. This role sits at the centre of the UK finance function and plays a key part in keeping the numbers accurate, compliant, and on time.
What That Means Day To Day
- Preparation of UK statutory financial statements and acting as a key contact for UK statutory and non-statutory audits
- Support and management of the month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Ownership of technical accounting areas including finance leases, fixed assets, acquisitions, and foreign currency transactions
- Oversight of UK tax requirements and treasury activities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations
- Strengthening financial controls and processes, supporting system changes, and resolving complex accounting issues
What You’Ll Need To Be Successful
This role suits a qualified accountant who is comfortable working at pace, close to the detail, and across multiple accounting topics. Strong technical foundations, a proactive mindset, and confidence working with stakeholders across finance are essential.Attention to detail is critical, alongside the ability to identify opportunities to improve controls, processes, and automation. The role requires balancing routine reporting with complex accounting work and change activity.
Essential requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Experience working within a finance team in a hands-on accounting role
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving approach
Desirable requirements:
- Experience with finance lease accounting
- Experience in technical accounting
- Data automation experience
- Team management experience
