Description
Responsible for managing global vendors (manufacturers) and leading the procurement and supply chain teams. This role ensures strategic sourcing, contractual compliance, and operational excellence to achieve corporate objectives for quality, timelines, and cost efficiency.
Key responsibilities include overseeing procurement and logistics operations, driving cost-effective sourcing strategies, ensuring timely delivery, and optimizing supply chain performance in alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute purchasing and logistics strategies.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercial terms and contracts.
- Identify, qualify, and select contractors/manufacturers, including market research, benchmarking, capability assessments, and due‑diligence processes.
- Evaluate the professional level of suppliers — assessing technical skills, operational discipline, adherence to safety and quality protocols, and long‑term reliability.
- Lead comprehensive negotiations covering pricing, service levels, delivery standards, and contractual obligations.
- Prepare, draft, negotiate, and manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring continuous compliance with agreed service, performance, and quality standards.
- Define, agree on, and implement operational work standards for all contractors and manufacturers, including ongoing monitoring and enforcement.
- Oversee transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise procurement and logistics staff.
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet business and operational requirements.
- Monitor performance and drive continuous process improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience managing procurement and logistics teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify contractors/manufacturers, evaluate their professionalism, negotiate complex agreements, and manage long‑term contractual relationships.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficient with ERP and supply chain software.
- Knowledge of global logistics and trade compliance.
- Strong English skills for negotiations, documentation, and contract management.
