POLARIS Raumflugzeuge GmbH develops innovative transportation systems that redefine access to space for payloads and passengers. With now 70 dedicated colleagues, we are working at two locations to make our vision reality. We are continuing to expand our team and are looking to fill the position of Junior Structural Engineer - Aerial Refueling Project (m/f/d).

Detailed structural design of a tanker aircraft using aerospace standards, including but not limited to primary structure, internal architecture, landing gear, etc.
Structural analysis and optimization using FEM methods or equivalent analytical procedures
Support for system and subsystem testing as part of the structural certification of the aircraft
Master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field of study
Experience with CAD software and FEM tools (Ansys Structural or similar)
Good knowledge of composite materials
Proactive thinking, high motivation, flexibility, and ability to work in a team
Very good German and English skills
Experience in the startup environment is a plus
Experience as a structural engineer in the aerospace or automotive industry (Working student, thesis etc.)
Excellent analytical skills and willingness to extend own expertise
Team player and start-up mentality
