Description

Quantum Machines (QM) is a global leader in control systems for quantum computing, a field on the verge of exponential growth. Our innovative hardware and software mark a groundbreaking approach in quantum computer control, scaling from individual qubits to expansive arrays of thousands. At the core of QM lies a passionate and ambitious team committed to reshaping the construction and operation of quantum computers. Our work is fueled by a deep understanding of customer needs, driving us to deliver unparalleled solutions in this revolutionary field.

The hardware development team spans two global sites – one in Tel Aviv and one in Copenhagen. The team is responsible for all hardware within QM spanning from room-temperature control hardware to our cryogenic QPU carriers.

We are looking for a Practical Electronics Engineer / Elektronikfagtekniker to support the development, manufacturing, and operation of cryogenic hardware. In this role, you will focus on hands-on assembly, prototype manufacturing, hardware troubleshooting, and basic measurements, working closely with design and validation engineers to ensure reliable and timely execution of development and production activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble electronic hardware prototypes and production units.
  • Support manufacturing of products, including wiring, assembly, and integration of electronic subsystems.
  • Perform hands-on debugging and immediate problem solving on hardware during development, testing, and manufacturing.
  • Support bring-up, operation, and modification of test and validation setups.
  • Perform basic electrical and RF measurements to support validation and troubleshooting activities.
  • Execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
  • Work closely with validation engineers, including preparation and execution of cryogenic tests.
  • Implement hardware updates and modifications based on engineering input and test results in PDM.
  • Maintain clear documentation of builds, modifications, and fixes.
  • Support continuous improvement of assembly, bring-up, and manufacturing processes.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Practical background in electronics (e.g. Elektronikfagtekniker), electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven record in test execution and documentation based on test and validation plans.
  • Strong hands-on experience with electronic assemblies.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues quickly and pragmatically.
  • Experience working from schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Comfortable working in a laboratory or workshop environment.
  • Self-driven, reliable, and able to manage tasks independently.
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and knowledge on measurement uncertainties and capabilities.
  • Experience assembling RF or mixed-signal hardware.
  • Experience creating basic PCB layouts for prototypes or early development hardware.
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools.
  • Experience supporting prototype manufacturing or small-series production.
  • Experience in Gage R&R methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cryogenic or low-temperature hardware environments.
  • Experience working closely with R&D or validation teams.
