Primary Purpose:
Directs and coordinates distribution activities that provide electric and/or gas service to customers. Has responsibilities that typically include operations, line construction and/or maintenance and field engineering. Plans, directs and coordinates activities to prevent electric service interruptions and minimize the impact and restoration time of service interruptions. Schedules maintenance, trouble operations/service restoration, metering operations and operations planning work. Provides adequate, accurate information to the customer service centers to keep affected customers properly informed. Ensures compliance with all safety, training and auditable guidelines, policies, practices, organization standards and government regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates routine scheduling of maintenance, trouble operations, and service restoration activities using established procedures.
- Updates work management systems with job progress, material usage, and crew assignments to maintain accurate records.
- Communicates straightforward information to internal teams and customer service centers to keep stakeholders informed.
- Assists in preparing documentation for permits, easements, and compliance requirements under supervision.
- Monitors work order status and escalates issues to senior staff to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Supports outage response by gathering data and providing logistical assistance during emergencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
- Typically requires 1 year of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of supporting projects that are governed by tariffs, policies and standards.
- Experience with document control, project support and coordination, comparable responsibilities, activities and/or tasks/duties.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, SAP, GIS, and ability to read maps.
