Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist – Technical Sourcer, you will play a key role in sourcing and engaging top IT talent across disciplines such as software development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity. You’ll partner with senior recruiters to deliver tailored recruitment solutions, build strong candidate pipelines, and ensure a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers. We’re looking for a proactive, tech-savvy recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about connecting exceptional talent with meaningful opportunities.

This is a Full-time, 12-month contract role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Lead, Talent Acquisition. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands at least one day a week.

How You’Ll Make An Impact:

  • Sourcing, screening, and qualifying candidates for a variety of IT roles, including but not limited to software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, project management and related technical positions
  • Supporting the full recruitment cycle: driving candidate engagement, conducting interview preparation, facilitating negotiations, and overseeing successful hires
  • Actively building and maintaining a network of IT professionals through multiple channels, including internal database and LinkedIn
  • Developing and executing targeted sourcing strategies to attract both active and passive technical talent
  • Partnering with senior recruiters to understand technical requirements and deliver tailored recruitment solutions
  • Leveraging social media, job boards, and industry events to maximize candidate reach
  • Tracking and analyzing hiring metrics to continuously improve recruitment processes and outcomes
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in technical talent acquisition

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in technical recruitment, with a track record of successfully sourcing and placing candidates in IT roles
  • Proficiency using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
  • Experience managing the end-to-end recruitment process for technical positions
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with IT professionals.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred

What You’Ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of $69,700 to $86,100 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements
