Your Mission
- You will perform internal audit mandates for a variety of clients within the financial services sector including but not limited to AIFM, PSF and Investment Firms.
- You will contribute to the preparation of the risk-based annual internal audit plans.
- You will examine the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management processes, internal control frameworks and governance processes. You will review compliance with laws and regulations including EU legislation as well as local regulatory standards.
- You conduct extensive technical and complex internal audit missions including planning, process analysis, walkthroughs, risk assessment, internal control design, implementation and operating effectiveness evaluations. This includes conducting effective interviews and meetings with staff internally to facilitate teamwork and with clients responsible people.
- You will identify and recommend improvements to the internal control processes and risk management processes.
- You coordinate the subject matter experts and verify their audit deliverables.
- You will draft comprehensive reports addressing the internal audit missions conducted including findings, recommendations and action plans.
- You will closely communicate with the Partner in charge of the internal audit missions as well as with the client’s responsible person for the Internal Audit function.
- You will support the design, enhance, and enforce internal audit processes and procedures across the organisation.
Your Profile
- You hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Law or Business Administration.
- You have 3-5 years’ experience in external and/or internal audit or a Compliance function within financial services. An experience in internal audit is a strong asset.
- ACCA, CIA, CISA or similar certifications are an advantage.
- You have a good understanding of the local regulatory environment within the financial industry in Luxembourg.
- You are fluent in English. German is a strong asset.
- You show attention to detail, possess excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- You show a high level of initiative and strong analytical skills. You are proactive and results oriented.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
