Summary of the Role/About the Team & Org
The Space Products Group releases products for use in the Aerospace market. As a Product/Test Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating ADI devices for radiation performance to support the release of these devices as Aerospace Products. This evaluation includes testing for Displacement Damage (DD), Total Ionizing Dose (TID), and Single Event Effects (SEE). This role is very adaptive based off the wide variety of devices in the ADI portfolio: Amplifiers, Voltage References, Power, Data Converters, RF, etc. Strong communications skills are important due to this role interacts with Aerospace customers directly concerning radiation performance and testing of devices.
Specific Responsibilities / Duties
- Manage Total Ionizing Dose testing ( High Dose Rate and Low Dose Rate) for released products and products under development.
- Test Migration – Migrate test from older test platforms to test platforms available at radiation test facility.
- Single Event Effects (SEE) testing – Python scripts to program, monitor, and mitigate device upsets during Heavy Ion or Proton testing.
- Lab – Automate lab equipment and create programs to automate the compilation of data and create reports.
- Laser Scan devices to detect sensitive transistors on the die that will require design modifications to improve the device radiation performance.
Previous Experience/Skills Needed & Education Requirements
- BSEE preferred with strong programming skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to solve complex problems through the design of appropriate experiments and analysis of complex data
- Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills toward the capture of aggressive schedule demands
- Strong teamwork ability within multi-discipline and multi-cultural environments
- Lab experience using test equipment including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators
- Working knowledge of and/or experience with LabVIEW, Python, Visual BASIC, HTML, and/or C/C++
