You will join the Workflow Platform team within Corporate Technology. Workflow Platform is the backbone of the Bank’s operational processes and enables all businesses to deliver exceptional experiences for our customers. We focus on building scalable, secure, and AI-powered workflow solutions that streamline operations, enhance automation, and improve efficiency across the organisation.
We play a critical role in executing our technology strategy by:
- Enabling a consistent customer and colleague experience across all lines of business, driving operational efficiency and improving turnaround times.
- Reducing development and maintenance effort over time by re‑using pre‑built microservices and managing versioning, resilience, currency, and patching.
- Unlocking broader workflow automation across business units by building highly reusable component microservices that can be rapidly assembled via Low Code or Traditional Code.
- Providing clear metrics on reuse efficiency, modernisation velocity, maintenance timeframes, reduced complexity, and automated guardrails to drive consistent quality and production stability.
You will report to the Crew Lead, Workflow Platform.
Do Work That Matters
We’re looking for a Chief Product Designer to lead the design strategy for our Workflow Platform products. This senior leadership role shapes intuitive, user‑centred experiences for workflow orchestration, automation, and integration capabilities. You’ll combine deep platform design expertise with a strong understanding of workflow technologies, AI‑native principles, and enterprise‑scale systems.
More Specifically, You Will:
- Define and evolve the design vision for workflow platform products, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical capabilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end design process, discovery, ideation, prototyping, and delivery, for workflow orchestration and automation tools
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and product teams to understand workflow capabilities and constraints
- Translate complex automation and integration workflows into intuitive design systems and user experiences
- Champion user needs across operations teams, engineers, and product owners, embedding user empathy in every decision
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback loops to inform design improvements
- Establish and maintain scalable design systems that ensure consistency, accessibility, and technical feasibility across workflow interfaces
- Partner with crew leads, tech leads, product owners, engineers, and business stakeholders to co‑create workflow features and experiences
- Advocate for design excellence and inclusive practices in technical and strategic conversations
- Effectively present and advocate for design decisions, strategies, and vision to senior leadership and executive stakeholders
- Translate complex design concepts into clear, compelling narratives that influence strategic decisions
About You
You are a strategic design leader with a passion for building exceptional teams and delivering intuitive, human-centred experiences at scale. You combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership capabilities to drive design excellence across complex workflow platforms.

- Proven ability to build and mentor high-performing design teams, nurturing talent and creating growth opportunities
- Experience establishing career development frameworks, competency matrices, and progression pathways to support designer growth
- A commitment to fostering collaboration, autonomy, and a learning culture through workshops, conferences, and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Advocacy for inclusive practices and organisational design maturity
Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience designing complex technical products in workflow, automation, or platform domains
- Strong understanding of workflow engines, orchestration frameworks, and integration patterns
- AI-native design capability—creating experiences that leverage generative AI, intelligent automation, and adaptive workflows
- Expertise in interaction design, systems thinking, and information architecture, with the ability to translate technical concepts into intuitive user experiences
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, particularly with technical audiences
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with enterprise workflow platforms, automation tooling, or process orchestration products
- Familiarity with AI-driven design tools and conversational interfaces
