Mandatory Skills

• Architect end-to-end data solutions using modern cloud data platforms, especially Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple data projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and quality standards.
• Lead the design and development of Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Lakehouses following Medallion architecture principles (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
• Define and implement data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured).
• Oversee the development of ETL/ELT processes, ensuring scalability, performance, and reusability.
• Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and BI developers to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.
• Drive data quality, lineage, cataloging, and governance best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments using Azure DevOps.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and data engineers.
• Evaluate & recommend tools, technologies, and frameworks to support data strategies. Support pre-sales activities by preparing technical proposals, effort estimations, and SOW documents.
• Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to respond to RFPs and customer queries.
• Present technical solutions and value propositions to senior leadership and client stakeholders.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities 

We are seeking a highly experienced senior data architect to design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance data architectures that support our enterprise data initiatives. The ideal candidate should bring strong expertise in SQL, ETL/ELT, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, medallion architecture, and data pipeline engineering. Experience in data visualization, DevOps, and modern cloud-based data platforms is essential. This role requires strong leadership to manage the successful delivery of multiple data projects and provide technical guidance to data engineering teams. In addition, the role requires active participation in pre-sales activities such as developing technical proposals, responding to RFPs, creating SOWs and estimations, and presenting solutions to senior leadership and customer stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Architect).
• Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, dbt).
• Familiarity with Python, Spark, or Scala is a plus.
