At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Data Architect to join our UniQue team.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Lead the end-to-end architectural design of a new Data Warehouse from concept to implementation.
- Analyze business and technical requirements to propose optimal data architecture solutions.
- Create and maintain data warehouse schemas and data models (conceptual, logical, and physical).
- Design, plan, and oversee proof of concept (PoC) to validate architectural decisions, technology choices, and data warehouse design approaches.
- Integrate data from multiple source systems and design reliable data pipelines.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, security, scalability, and performance.
- Contribute to future-state data architecture and platform roadmaps.
- Apply and promote industry best practices in data architecture and data platform design.
- Act as a subject-matter expert and provide senior advisory support to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams throughout delivery.
- Ensure alignment between architecture, implementation, and operations.
- Document architecture decisions, data models, standards, and best practices.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and assess their applicability to the data strategy.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in data architecture or similar data-focused roles.
- Strong expertise in data warehouse design and data modeling.
- Demonstrated deep expertise in ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline development.
- Hands-on experience with Airbyte, dbt labs, or comparable open-source data tools.
- Strong SQL skills.
- Previous experience working with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms.
- Proven experience integrating data from multiple source systems.
- Experience with architecture modeling tools and methodologies (e.g. Sparx Enterprise Architect, ArchiMate, TOGAF).
- Strong understanding of data governance, GDPR, security, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Advanced English (C1) communication skills (written and spoken).
