Project Manager and Operational Support Specialist – Transfer Technology  - (250008BF)

Description

Overview

Salem State University seeks a skilled Project Manager for a two-year, temporary role leading the implementation and long-term institutional transition of a new transfer credit evaluation and recruitment technology. This position is grant-funded and designed specifically to support the institution through implementation and handoff to permanent staff.

In Year 1, the Project Manager oversees system implementation, vendor coordination, business process mapping, testing, and end-user training in collaboration with Enrollment Management, the Registrar’s Office/Transfer Services, Undergraduate Admissions, and Information Technology Services. In Year 2, the focus shifts to operational sustainability—optimizing the system, documenting processes, evaluating effectiveness, and guiding a structured transition of functional and technical responsibilities to permanent staff.

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, this temporary role is ideal for a project manager who excels at cross-functional collaboration and delivering sustainable operational outcomes with lasting institutional impact.

Please Note: This is a two-year, grant-funded position and continued employment is contingent upon ongoing grant funding.

Why This Role?

  • Lead a high-visibility transformation of transfer credit evaluation
  • Support a major student success and transfer pathway priority
  • Shape long-term operational readiness before transitioning ownership
  • Hybrid schedule with broad cross-office collaboration
