Worley is a global professional services company of energy, chemicals and resources experts.
We partner with our customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets. We’re bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now.
You will play an integral role in ensuring that Worley’s manufacturing and fabrication work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and technical excellence. This role sits at the intersection of hands-on millwright expertise and disciplined quality control, supporting complex industrial equipment and structural assemblies that must perform reliably in demanding operating environments. You will work closely with manufacturing teams, engineers, and project leadership, contributing directly to outcomes that matter for our customers and our people.
Purpose of the role
The Millwright Quality Control Inspector exists to safeguard workmanship, dimensional accuracy, and mechanical integrity across manufacturing and fabrication activities. You will be responsible for verifying that millwright-related work—particularly involving fans, fan shrouds, shaft alignments, and structural steel—conforms to specifications, drawings, codes, and Worley quality expectations. Your work will help ensure equipment leaves the facility ready to operate safely, efficiently, and as intended.
Core Responsibilities
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Inspecting millwright-related manufacturing and assembly activities to confirm compliance with drawings, specifications, procedures, and applicable standards.
- Performing quality control inspections on fans, fan shrouds, rotating equipment, and associated components, with particular attention to alignment, fit-up, and mechanical tolerances.
- Verifying shaft alignment, runout, and balance-related parameters using appropriate tools and methods.
- Inspecting structural steel fabrication and installation for dimensional accuracy, weld quality (visual), and overall conformance to design requirements.
- Reviewing manufacturing documentation, inspection records, and quality checklists for completeness and accuracy.
- Identifying nonconformances, documenting findings clearly, and collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Supporting continuous improvement by providing practical feedback on workmanship, inspection methods, and quality processes.
- Maintaining a visible commitment to safety, quality, and collaboration on the shop floor and in meetings.

- Clear, respectful communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
