About Us
CPAC Systems develops advanced control systems for marine and industrial applications. Since 1999, we’ve been turning complex operations into intuitive experiences. With 250 employees, a portfolio of 80 patents and more than 500,000 delivered products per year, we drive innovation in everything from electrification to intelligent automation, always working at the intersection of safety, efficiency and user experience. As part of Volvo Group, our role is to lead advanced technology development and explore the next generation of smart control systems.
Your Role
As a Quality Engineer at CPAC Systems, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and long-term quality of our products. You will act as a technical expert within quality, owning customer-reported issues from initial analysis through root cause identification to implemented corrective actions.
The role combines analytical problem-solving with hands-on technical work, where your understanding of complex systems — spanning mechanics, electronics, and software — is essential. You will work close to both development and production, giving you a holistic view of the product lifecycle and the opportunity to influence quality early in the process.
You will be part of a flat, collaborative organization where initiative is encouraged and decisions are made close to the technology. CPAC Systems operates in a fast-moving, innovation-driven industry, and in this role you will be involved where things happen — contributing not only to resolving issues, but also to continuously improving products, processes, and ways of working.
A Typical Workday
The day usually starts with a team stand-up to align priorities. Much of the work involves close customer interaction — addressing feedback, explaining next steps, and then identifying the right experts who can support a specific product function. This includes bringing the product on-site, documenting findings and actions in reports, and performing hands-on testing, often out on a boat or in a yellow machine, to ensure the product performs correctly in its intended setup.
Weekly routines are an important part of our culture: Wednesdays are for fika, Tuesdays and Thursdays we train together, and Thursdays often include a shared breakfast or a seminar. No two days are exactly the same, but the combination of teamwork, customer collaboration, practical testing, and shared activities makes the work both varied and rewarding.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of customer quality cases and lead root cause analysis to identify and fix issues in products and components.
- Work proactively to reduce recurring failures by understanding product behavior and failure modes.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to validate corrective actions.
- Provide regular feedback to customers and internal teams to ensure transparency, trust and continuous improvement.
- Participate in shaping quality processes in a fast-paced, open, and collaborative environment that values contribution at every level.
Key Qualifications
- A university degree in engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s), and/or relevant experience from a similar quality or engineering role. You have a minimum of three years of experience, working in a comparable technical or industrial environment.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electronic, and software systems, preferably gained from experience in electronics production or embedded systems environments.
- Experience analyzing and identifying the root cause of product/component failures.
- Fluency in English and Swedish
It’S A Plus If You Also Bring
- Experience from the automotive industry, including the use of structured problem-solving methods such as 8D.
Who You Are
You are passionate about technology and driven by identifying problems and turning them into effective solutions. You take responsibility, work independently when needed, and thrive in a collaborative environment with many different stakeholders. You challenge the status quo and are always looking for ways to improve processes and product quality.
You have a structured and thorough approach to your work, with strong documentation and communication skills. Clear, high-quality documentation comes naturally to you, and you are comfortable communicating with colleagues, suppliers, and customers in a clear and professional manner. You also have a hands-on mindset — you enjoy troubleshooting, working with tools, and validating hypotheses and fixes in practice.
This is a role where both technical interest and personal qualities are equally important for success. Even if you don’t meet every requirement listed, but recognize yourself in the personal traits we are looking for, we still encourage you to apply.
