What We Are Seeking:
CPH is actively seeking a talented and collaborative team player to join our team as a Landscape Architect Designer! This is a GREAT opportunity for a junior-level professional in landscape architecture and design who is passionate about bringing design from concept to reality.
The ideal candidate will be able to work confidently from start to finish, supporting landscape and hardscape designs, code research, and exercise high proficiency in AutoCAD. This individual will be a dynamic and flexible contributor to the TEAM with the ability to support several projects in various stages of design. This individual will manage multiple projects requiring strong adaptability, cross-collaboration, and effective communication. We are seeking an active listener who takes ownership in their own work and will contribute to the TEAM win for our valued clients!
Additional responsibilities include supporting field inspections as a Landscape Architecture Designer at CPH. A valid driver’s license is a must.
Position Summary:
The Landscape Architecture Designer works with the Landscape Architect and CAD design team in development of landscape and hardscape deliverables and designs. This role is essential in ensuring that all landscape architecture projects comply with CPH standards for quality, sustainability, and aesthetic excellence. The Landscape Architect Designer is responsible for designing and managing through the department a variety of landscape projects, including parks, gardens, commercial properties, and urban spaces. This position collaborates with project managers, architects, engineers, and other project teams to create functional and aesthetically pleasing outdoor environments that enhance quality of life and sustainability.
What You'Ll Do:
--Duties/Responsibilities--- Serve as the Landscape Architect Designer for design, coordination, permitting, of projects.
- Prepare accurate presentations, designs, details, and construction documents in CAD, including code-compliant landscape planting and hardscape plans.
- Oversee and mentor the Landscape Architecture project design team, including CAD technician, and vendors.
- Collaborate with firm landscape architects, architects, project managers, and business development teams to enhance project delivery.
- Research and implement relevant codes and client requirements to ensure compliance.
- Develop and utilize CAD standards and templates to streamline design processes.
- Prepare specifications, review shop drawings, and provide construction administration support.
- Travel periodically for site investigations, and construction observation, including preparing or reviewing reports and exhibits.
- Conduct quality control by reviewing documents prepared by others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'Ll Need:
--Position Requirements--- Design experience in preparing landscape and hardscape plans.
- Knowledgeable in irrigation systems design.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Deltek VantagePoint and Smartsheet or similar software platforms.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup and rendering software.
- Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
- Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.
- Relevant work experience or a bachelor’s in landscape architecture; preferred – not required
- Over 3 years of USA and Florida landscape experience.
- Experience preparing project punch list reports.
- Experience in Public Park, FDOT/LAP and National Commercial Programs.
