Job Description
About This Position
Sandisk is looking for a Social Media Specialist. We are seeking a strategic and experienced, results-driven professional to elevate our brand presence, immersive consumer engagement and drive conversion/sales.
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for executing our social media strategy across key platforms to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and support business objectives. This role focuses on creating high-quality content, publishing consistently, engaging online communities, analyzing performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring the brand to life online.
The position reports to the Director, Regional Social & Digital Lead and partners deeply across the Consumer Business working closely within the Regional and Local Marketing and Sales Teams, and other functions across the company to drive effective and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will own:
- Developing, editing, and publishing engaging content (photo, video, copy) tailored to each platform’s best practices.
- Manage social media postings and scheduling across platforms (Weibo, Wechat, Wechat Channel, Douyin, Bilibili, RedNote etc).
- Monitor comments, messages, and audience interactions. Respond in the Sandisk “tone-of-voice" and escalate issues when needed.
- Track social trends, emerging features, and competitive activity to guide content and platform strategy.
- Measure performance, analyze insights, and report weekly/monthly with actionable recommendations.
- Ensure all content meets brand guidelines, tone-of-voice, and visual standards.
- Work closely with regional marketing and sales teams, , influencers, PR product teams and external agency teams to support campaigns and launches.
- Assist in shoots, studio sessions, and content capture at events or brand activations.
- Identify conversations, sentiment trends, and opportunities to join cultural moments.
- Contribute to content brainstorms and campaign optimization to maximize return and key metric growth.
- Ability to speak, handle and run “LIVE streams” within select social platforms (e.g. Weibo, Wechat, Wechat Channel, Douyin, Bilibili, RedNote etc)) is a plus.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience successfully managing social media channels for a global brand, creative agency, or publication.
- Proficiency in social media management platforms and tools (like Emplifi, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout Social), with experience utilizing them to optimize engagement and track performance metrics.
- Proven ability to present, interact with, and deliver campaign results for stakeholders up to an executive level.
- Ability to meet deadlines and post to social media accounts in real time, with little need for oversight.
- A strong presence: you can be present and thoughtful in review meetings, have the agility to pivot and adapt execution as the strategy evolves, and can take direction/critiques well.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret data, track key performance indicators, and make data-driven decisions to enhance social media strategy.
- Keeping updated with industry-related and cross-vertical social media trends.
- Proven ability in managing paid media best practices and experience with industry tools (e.g. Weibo ads, Wechat ads, Wechat Channel ads, Douyin ads, Bilibili ads, RedNote ads etc.)) is a plus.
- Proven skills in content creation within the Adobe Suite, Figma, or similar.
- Skills in handling camera equipment, lighting, audio and video editing is a plus.
- Proven ability to strategize and lead influencer campaigns within platforms such as such as Weibo, Wechat, Wechat Channel, Douyin, Bilibili, RedNote or similar.
- Understanding and/or experience with PC DIY and Gaming is a plus.
