The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Responsibilities:
- Develop new processes for NPI and SOS transfer projects, including process design, qualification/validation, ramp-up, and handover to operations.
- Lead CMP initiatives to improve process safety and efficiency; conduct risk assessments and implement engineering/administrative controls.
- Localize raw materials and establish dual sourcing strategies to maintain a stable and resilient supply chain; collaborate with suppliers for qualification.
- Lead Six Sigma and PPU projects to improve process capability (e.g., Cpk, yield, OEE) through DOE, SPC, and data-driven optimization.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to ensure stable operations.
- Participate in Lean and Kaizen activities; standardize work, optimize process flow, and eliminate waste.
- Manage subcontractor (Subcon) product and operations, aligning quality, delivery, and cost performance with internal standards and targets.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including specifications, SOPs, work instructions, control plans, PFMEA, and qualification reports.
- Provide technical and project management leadership to ensure the safe, timely, and economical execution of process projects, meeting applicable Solventum and regulatory standards and internal specifications.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Over 5 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in process development, transfer, scale-up, and stabilization; proficiency with DOE and SPC.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative team spirit; capable of conducting technical exchanges in both Chinese and English.
- Proficient PC skills; familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt or equivalent; experience leading PPU/CAPEX projects.
- Experience in raw material localization, dual sourcing, and supplier qualification; familiarity with supplier quality management.
- Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, value stream mapping; experience with PFMEA, control plans, and APQP.
- Experience with process safety programs and risk assessment tools if applicable.
- Familiarity with MES/SPC systems and statistical analysis tools is a plus.
