About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our O&G East team. In this role, you will provide process engineering expertise across the full project lifecycle—from concept through to execution—ensuring safe, reliable and cost‑effective technical outcomes for our clients.
This position is key in delivering design, technical documentation, hydraulic modelling and process improvement for brownfield and greenfield projects, supporting critical fuel storage, pumping and terminal facilities.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Deliver process engineering design, calculations, drawings, specifications and technical documents to meet project scope, schedule and budget.
- Contribute across all project phases, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliant and technically robust design outcomes.
- Conduct hydraulic modelling, surge analysis, equipment sizing and process simulations.
- Support design safety processes including HAZOPs, risk assessments and action close‑outs.
- Undertake process improvement studies and provide specialist technical guidance to internal teams and clients.
- Support FATs, commissioning and site‑based troubleshooting activities.
- Apply knowledge of relevant Australian and international standards, statutory requirements and hazardous area regulations.
- Engage with and manage specialist external engineering resources as required.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Process or Chemical Engineering.
- 5+ years’ process engineering design experience in oil & gas, terminals, petrochemical or resource sectors.
- Strong background in hydraulic modelling and surge analysis (Pipenet, Fluid Flow, AFT Impulse, Bentley Hammer).
- Experience developing P&IDs, datasheets, technical reports and engineering calculations.
- Demonstrated capability working across multidisciplinary teams from concept through execution.
- Experience participating in HAZOPs and process safety activities; knowledge of MHF requirements highly regarded.
- Customer‑focused, proactive and committed to continuous improvement.
- Chartered or working towards (RPEQ/RPEV) desirable.
