Within RBS, the Everyday Banking domain delivers the full spectrum of products for customers’ transaction banking and deposit needs, enabling customers to manage their day to day spend and save to achieve their financial goals. This portfolio is at the heart of the Retail Bank’s franchise – an anchor product for customers who consider CBA to be their main financial institution.

The Everyday Spending squad sits within the Everyday Products Crew and has end to end accountability for Retail Payments and Retail Foreign Exchange products. Our purpose is to deliver exceptional everyday spending experiences through innovative products, data-driven insights and quality partnerships.
As the Product Owner and the lead of the value stream, you will be managing financial and non-financial performance to deliver exceptional customer and business outcomes. You will define the product vision, goals and roadmap and ensure successful delivery of objectives. This role reports to the Crew Lead Everyday Products.
Specifically, You Will;
- Define, communicate and mobilise the product vision, strategy and customer value proposition for retail payments and foreign exchange products including debit cards, multi-currency accounts and foreign cash services
- Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development and launch of new products, features and uplifted processes, while managing a prioritised backlog
- Manage performance against OKRs to drive product outcomes and customer satisfaction
- Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers and partners
- Obsess over the spending and payment customer experience including actively seeking out voice of the customer to improve service offering across all channels and segments
- Develop a high performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high quality output
- Manage senior business and technical stakeholders to ensure that prioritisation aligned
- Lead and ensure a positive risk culture exists across the team, ensuring key internal CBA policies are adhered to, including the Operational and Supplier Risk Management Framework; and
- Ensure projects are delivered with a focus on executional excellence and the Group Delivery Framework with a proactive approach to managing change-associated risks.
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Proven Product Owner (at Executive Level) or Executive Manager equivalent experience, leading teams to high performance
- Prior experience in product management is beneficial
- Strong commercial acumen with a real passion identifying growth opportunities and building sustainable businesses
- Experience in defining product roadmap and delivery of product vision
- Demonstrated ability to strategically problem solve
- Proven track record of delivering strategic change in an agile environment
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship-building skills
- Effective relationship management skills particularly with external business partners
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal and to senior executive levels
- Prior experience working with onshore & offshore mixed squad
- A wealth of experience in financial services
