(Senior) 2D / UI Designer (m/f/d)

We are currently setting up our team in Skopje and are looking for a 2D / UI Designer (m/f/d).

We are entering a multi-year collaboration with a major vehicle manufacturer to design advanced in-vehicle digital experiences. Our work spans early R&D exploration through to production-grade design delivery, supporting several parallel development tracks and working closely with internal product and engineering teams.

With our Design Teams in Germany, you'll create visually highly functional digital products that impress with their intuitive operation and outstanding design. • Design intuitive, future-oriented HMI interfaces across multiple (in-vehicle) displays
• Create excellent UI designs for complex (in-vehicle) displays
• Develop components, icons, visual elements and screen layouts aligned with the design system
• Translate UX requirements and interaction flows into clear, production-ready visual concepts
• Collaborate with UX designers, prototypers, motion designers and engineering teams
• Maintain visual consistency across multiple surfaces, resolutions and themes
• Support handover by preparing documentation, specs and visual assets for development

General requirements:

• Location: Located in Skopje / willing to move or work in Skopje
• Visual & UI Excellence: Expert in Figma (components/variants) with a focus on clean, scalable assets for embedded or automotive displays. Mastery of typography, color, and hierarchy is essential.
• Systems Thinking: Ability to design for cross-device journeys and navigate complex system maps, flows, and UX heuristics.
• Process & Tools: Experienced in Agile environments using JIRA/Confluence. High maturity in documentation and supporting design system growth.
• Soft Skills: Strong English (B2+). Ability to present design logic to non-experts (engineers, safety experts) and collaborate across international, cross-functional teams.
• Mindset: Proactive "hands-on" attitude, business-oriented, and comfortable with evolving requirements in high-pressure, long-term programs.

Bonus Requirements:

• Domain Expertise: Prior experience in Automotive HMI (Infotainment, ADAS, Android Automotive OS) or working with OEMs/Tier 1 suppliers.
• Safety & Context: Deep understanding of driver cognitive load, safety compliance, and environmental constraints like legibility, luminance, and day/night modes.
• Specialized Design: Skills in motion design, custom iconography for HMI, or designing for VR/AR.
• Technical Implementation: Experience preparing assets for embedded or real-time rendering systems and a "Quality & Safety" mindset specific to commercial vehicles.
• Flexible working hours: The standard workweek is 40 hours. Your core hours are 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, during which you must be present. The remaining hours can be scheduled flexibly, based on your preference and team requirements
