Job Description

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Legal team of Ignitis Latvija. As a key member of our organization, you will provide expert legal counsel, ensure regulatory compliance, and support various business initiatives. • You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
• Offering comprehensive legal advice to management and various departments on complex legal matters
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts and legal documents
• Managing corporate governance and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations
• Representing the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and interactions with regulatory bodies
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement legal strategies that support business objectives
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with external legal counsel and key stakeholders

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior legal role, preferably in a field relevant to the energy sector
• In-depth knowledge of Latvian legal system, regulations, and corporate law (knowledge in the areas of personal data protection and consumer protection is desirable)
• Proven track record in contract drafting, negotiation, and corporate governance
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal issues and provide pragmatic solutions, attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Latvian and English as this role involves regular communication with international colleagues and partners
