Summary

Develops, implements, and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems and activities. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products. Participates in the reviewing of engineering designs to contribute quality requirements and considerations. Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Job Description

Performs all required management responsibilities including but not limited to:

implementing the company's policies, programs, and guidelines; ensuring employee productivity and growth; managing resources; knowing Varex’s business; and maintaining functional, technical, and external market awareness necessary for managing immediate organization.

Experience Level with Business Tools

• Proficient in utilizing business tools such as:  E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Education And Experience

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent
• 5+ years of related experience. 
• 1+ years of management experience or supervisory equivalent

Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.

• Medium work that will occasionally require employees to lift/move up to 40 lbs. and frequently lift more than 10lbs. to greater than 25lbs.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving heavy equipment and/or supplies frequently 34-66%.
• Reaching above and below the shoulder frequently 34-66%.
• Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold, grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools occasionally 1-33%.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, repetitive motion, or similar activities.
• Work environments include: Working with several different groups on non-conforming materials. Traveling to suppliers and auditing suppliers. Loud, hot, cold environments could be part of supplier’s process.
• Travel to domestic and international supplier sites. Valid driver’s license. Active passport would be great.
