Downer Professional Services comprises of three business units our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice, and Team Downer, which partners with CASG and NSSG as a major service provider to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security. 

We currently have an opportunity for a Systems Administrator Field Service Representative in Canberra to work on COSPO projects.   

What You’Ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including: 
 

  • Technical Support: Provide Level 1 (basic) and Level 2 (troubleshooting) support for all COSPO products. 
  • Infrastructure Administration: Maintain and administer DCR and SDTE infrastructure and endpoints. 
  • Asset & Audit Management: Conduct auditing and asset management of COSPO-owned materiel at unit locations. 
  • Product Lifecycle Support: Coordinate upgrades, updates, maintenance, and contribute to product testing and evaluation activities. 
  • Technical Support: Provide Level 1 (basic) and Level 2 (troubleshooting) support for all COSPO products.

  • Asset & Audit Management: Conduct auditing and asset management of COSPO-owned materiel at unit locations. 
  • Product Lifecycle Support: Coordinate upgrades, updates, maintenance, and contribute to product testing and evaluation activities. 
  • Service & Request Management: Log support requests, participate in triage, and conduct product maintenance under the COSPO Maintenance Management System. 

What You’Ll Bring

  • IT Administration Expertise: Demonstrated knowledge and experience in IT administration, including physical and virtual network devices. 
  • Mandatory Certification: Certified SAFe® Practitioner (required for all COSPO personnel, achievable upon engagement). 
  • Defence Systems Experience: Prior experience working on ADF systems and networks, with cross-functional or project team involvement. 
  • Security Clearance: Must hold a PV security clearance with AGSVA and be an Australian citizen. 
  • Desirable Cyber & Technical Skills: Cyber security qualifications, VMWare vCentre/vSphere pathway, CompTIA Sec+, Powershell, and experience managing large-scale networks or Cyber Ranges. 

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Positive Vetting security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
