Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is seeking a Entry- Level Systems Administrator to join the Cyber Engineering team! The selected individual will work with hardware asset inventory for a NIST RMF accredited boundary and maintain an accurate representation of the components per procedural guidance provided.
- Perform physical verification and logical discovery of hardware assets belonging to the SRNL unclassified boundary
- Record complete and accurate data of the hardware asset inventory for the boundary
- Update inventory as hardware is moved by SMEs
- Reconcile discrepancies in inventory such as new devices not in inventory or not found in their documented location, etc.
- Ensure 100% validation of inventory over a period of less than one year
- Export/provide current hardware lists to the ISSO/GRC team for Continuous Monitoring and other reporting needs
- Assist customers with procedure interpretation for retiring/decommissioning hardware from inventory, acquiring asset tags, and applying updates to the site inventory database
- Work effectively in a team environment to resolve issues and contribute to continuous process improvement efforts for hardware asset inventory
- Interact with customers and peers in a professional and responsive manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Assurance, or related field
- General Cyber Certification such as CompTIA Security+ or (ISC)2 CISPP
- For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is Legally Required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of NIST Risk Management Framework and Control Sets (i.e., NIST 800-37 and NIST 800-53)
- Experience with information assurance tools (GRC, SEIM, EDR, Tenable.SC, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies, concepts, and processes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills
- Active DOE L clearance
