About The Job

The Finance Controller role at Kantar is an outstanding opportunity to lead and develop our financial operations in Indonesia and Vietnam. Reporting directly to the SEA Financial Controller, you will coordinate statutory and fiscal reporting, local compliance, and controls. Your insights and analysis will empower our Finance Business Partners and collaborators to make informed decisions with a clear understanding of financial impacts. Job Goals

• Build and nurture strong working relationships with our shared services team, Kantar Business Services (KBS), located in India and Portugal.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring they are motivated and equipped with the skills to excel in Accounting and Controlling functions.
• Harmonize financial and administrative procedures, policies, and processes across Kantar’s divisions.
• Ensure accurate and timely compliance with all fiscal and statutory reporting requirements, adhering strictly to WPP and Kantar accounting policies.
• Prepare comprehensive statements for board review.
• Manage relationship with local fiscal and regulatory bodies and review monthly, quarterly, annual returns for accuracy and completeness.
• Establish and maintain a robust controls environment, monitoring and reporting compliance in collaboration with shared service centers and IT divisions.
• Coordinate audit compliance activities, ensuring successful statutory accounts sign-off and effective interactions with auditors.
• Manage the posting of judgmental period-end accruals and adjustments, making sure policies and standards are followed, and working with Finance Business Partners when required.
• Manage contract stage-related adjustments and write-offs.
• Collaborate closely with the Finance Business Partner to support the preparation of draft periodic budgets, capital plans, and forecasts.
• Produce financial information and analysis to enable business collaborators, working with their Finance Business Partners, to make informed decisions.
• Conduct payroll reviews in coordination with HR before submission.
• Address relevant ad hoc queries from Kantar or their nominated third parties, such as insurance renewal questionnaires and new hire or severance templates.
• Communicate and ensure compliance with global procurement deals, including commercial review of non-PSL supplier contracts for overhead or operating costs.

Ideal Skills And Capabilities:

• Fully qualified accountant with a CPA or ACCA certification.
• Proven expertise in financial management and accounting, with a strong track record in Controllership.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Outstanding analytical skills and financial competence.
• Ability to identify major risks and develop collaborative plans with management teams to mitigate them.
• Accountable and reliable, delivering on promises and commitments even in challenging circumstances.
• Capable of making sound decisions under time pressure and complex conditions.
• Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies and managing an accounting team or working with a shared service centre.
