Summary:

The role of a Sales Executive is to drive profitable growth for Active Security, using approved & ethical sales processes that highlight our corporate strengths, and differentiate our product & service offerings from our competitors. Our sales & business development efforts must be presented in alignment with our corporate vision, goals, strategy, and brand. Driving new business across each functional area of Active Security’s offering is critical to our success. 

The successful Sales Executive will locate and develop opportunities and win contract awards by effectively laying out the proposed solution and identifying its competitive advantages over competitor products/offerings. Further, the Sales Executive will be responsible for continuous improvement of Active Security's sales leadership and business development processes, including planning, organizing, strategy development, requirements compliance, writing sales materials, coordinating overall activities, preparing and communicating status reports, critiquing and making improvement recommendations, coordinating and assisting in proposal production, and leading all related tasks necessary to compete for and win contract awards.

Requirements

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales plans.
  • Monitor open source and private bid boards for opportunities.
  • Drive new business from existing accounts, MSA's, IDIQ's, or other Teaming Agreements.
  • Present compelling solutions that are easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and present oral proposals, multi-media presentations, and sales demonstrations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams from other departments involved in the business capture process to win contract awards.
  • Develop account visitation schedules and ensure key accounts are serviced on a routine basis.
  • As required, drafts sections of proposals, performance work statements, or other technical content. (not a primary job function).
  • Works with Operations to advise on team assignments and project success strategies.
  • Works to ensure effective integration of win strategies, themes and discriminators are included in proposal responses.

Position Requirements:

Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressively more responsible business development and/or account management responsibilities.
  • Candidate must possess full knowledge of both mission critical commercial enterprise, and federal procurement processes, as well as a strong, proven capability to apply process-driven sales approaches throughout the business capture lifecycle.
  • Sales experience in the Security & Technology field within the Federal market required (e.g., DOD, DHS, NASA, State, DOJ, VA, etc.)
  • Sales experience in the enterprise commercial field within the critical infrastructures market.

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with all levels of company and customer management.
  • Analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to gain internal support and to operate independently without supervision.
  • Ability to establish working relationships with customers, other companies, technical staff, managers and peers.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to include the ability to present compelling solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in proposal writing, basis of estimates, storyboards, and narrative solution content.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships across all levels in the organization and within the customer environment

Supervisory/Budget Responsibilities:

As assigned, direct supervision of inside sales associates may be required. Creation and maintenance of a travel budget is required.
