Job Description
As a skilled and experienced Production Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead the production team and ensure the smooth operation of the entire production process. You are dedicated to maintaining and improving health and safety standards and fostering a healthy work environment for all team members. With a strong focus on quality, you oversee the production of excellent furniture for IKEA customers.
- In addition to managing budgets and production KPIs, you ensure that our machinery runs efficiently. Your priority is continuous improvement, aiming to streamline production processes in a simpler, more efficient, cost-conscious, and smart manner. You set up and implement strategies to optimize resource utilization, ensuring that we make the most efficient use of materials, manpower, and machinery.
- As a member of the management team, you report directly to the Site Manager, collaborating closely with other departments to develop and implement strategies that align with our production objectives. By leveraging resources effectively and implementing innovative approaches, you strive to contribute to the overall success and growth of the organization.

The desired competencies for a Production Manager include the ability to lead people and processes effectively, execute daily operation, make critical decisions, promote team unity and concentrate on improvements and KPI’s. Production Manager has a clear vision, strategic mindset and is able to think ahead long term and in wide scope. In this role proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills is crucial for collaborating with cross-functional teams. A successful candidate should have a university education related to technical or production and at least 5 years of experience in a similar role of production/operation manager in industry.
