Job Description
Visa DataWorks provides the foundational data, AI, and analytics capabilities used across Visa’s internal and external products. The Product Manager will support the definition and delivery of DataWorks platform components such as metadata services, discovery, governance workflows, access management, and AI-assisted developer tooling. The role requires strong collaboration with engineering, data teams, governance partners, and product stakeholders. The PM must translate user needs into clear requirements, drive execution of feature improvements, and ensure DataWorks services are usable, reliable, and aligned to platform standards. This position is ideal for someone with early product management experience who understands data systems and is comfortable working in technical problem spaces.

- Adoption and usage of the platform features owned by the PM (e.g., asset onboarding workflows, metadata enhancements, developer tools).
- Quality of product requirements, clarity of documentation, and consistent handoff to engineering.
- Stability and predictability of feature releases—meeting timelines, resolving blockers, and improving reliability.
- Stakeholder satisfaction, especially engineering, governance, and internal customer teams.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of product management or relevant technical/product experience.
- Familiarity with data ecosystems, such as data pipelines, catalogs, storage, lineage, access management, or analytics platforms.
- Ability to write user stories, define acceptance criteria, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Understanding of core data concepts (schemas, data quality, metadata, observability, APIs).
- Experience working in Agile environments and participating in sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release coordination.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience working with data to understand user behavior or validate hypotheses.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to work across engineering, privacy, governance, and product teams.
- Ability to break down complex requirements into manageable deliverables and support cross-functional alignment.
Nice To Have
- Have experience working for companies marching scale and size of Visa.
- Exposure to data discovery tools, metadata platforms, workflow engines, or cloud-based data services (GCP/AWS).
- Experience supporting developer or internal platform products.
- Knowledge of AI/ML workflows, feature management, or model lifecycle tooling.
- Background in enterprise-scale platforms.
