We’re seeking someone to join our Enterprise Technology team as a Snowflake Database Developer/Architect, in Human Resources, Digital Marketing & Corporate Communication Technology to help the team build sophisticated and high performing applications.

This is Director position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:
- Help the team build sophisticated and high performing applications . The candidate will be part of a global team delivering database solutions using agile methodologies.
- Snowflake SME will be proficient with data platform architecture, design, data dictionaries, multi-dimensional models, objects, star and snowflake schemas as well as structures for data lakes, data science and data warehouses using Snowflake.
- Technical delivery, resolution of architecture issues and the migration of the existing on-premises application to AWS/Azure Snowflake platform.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- At least 6+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
- Demonstrate expertise in Snowflake data modelling and ELT using Snowflake SQL, implementing complex stored procedures and best practices with data warehouse and ETL concepts.
- Designing, implementing and testing cloud computing solutions using Snowflake technology
- Expertise in Snowflake advanced concepts like setting up resource monitors, RBAC controls, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning, zero copy clone, time travel and understand how to use these features.
- Experience with data security and data access controls and design.
- Creating, monitoring and optimization of ETL/ELT processes (Talend, Informatica)
- Migrating solutions from on-premises to public cloud platforms
- Proficiency in RDBMS, complex SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, performance tuning and troubleshoot.
- Strong development experience in Snowflake.
- Working experience on Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence projects and having very good understanding on Data Modeling and Methodologies (Enterprise Transactional Data Model (OLTP) and Dimensional modeling.
- Well versed with principles, techniques and best practices of data modeling).
- Advanced proficiency with SQL for generation and extraction of data for use in analytics and reporting.
- Experience in closely working with application teams and managing all the DB related activities such as DB modeling, design, development, maintenance and support.
- Strong Skills in Relational Databases including database design, writing complex queries and stored procedures, performance tuning.
- Experience in integration of various data sources like DB2, Sybase, SQL Server, MemSQL, Snowflake.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher learning institution in data science, computer science, information technology, engineering, or mathematics
- Knowledge about DevOps implementation in Data space
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and leadership skill
- Financial Services experience will be a strong plus
