Your Role & Responsibilities
- Utilize various transportation provider systems to facilitate movement planning and scheduling
- Negotiate and obtain freight rates from carriers
- Coordinate product delivery to terminals and customers
- Approve and review freight bills for accuracy.
- Reroute freight as needed to meet demands and minimize cost.
- Answers questions regarding sourcing from internal and external customers as needed.
- Ensure goods are shipped in the most timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure carrier rates and information are maintained in Transplace
- Responsible for rating LTL, truckload and tank truck orders
Approve Carrier Invoices
- Arrange truckload and LTL carriers for inbound, outbound and 3rd party shipments
- Package and create shipping documents for sample requests
- Verify COA’s on inbound deliveries
- Maintain Brenntag fleet license plates, cab cards and IFTA credentials
- Responsible for Container inventory management
- Cross trains and backfills for other Logistics Coordinators
- Special project support as needed.
Your Profile
Education & Experience
- BA/BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or 5+ years in logistics
- Experience with all modes of transportation (marine, rail, and trucking)
- Proven supplier management experience
- Second language proficiency a plus
- Team player with proven ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow up
- Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills
