The Role :
The Operational Privacy Program Manager Will Report To The Chief Privacy Officer And Lead The Operational Execution Of The Global Privacy Program Relying On A Strong Collaboration With Legal, Information Security, Compliance And Business Teams. This Role Combines Program Management, Operational Compliance, Training, And Vendor Risk Oversight, Bridging Strategy And Operations, Ensuring Consistent Global Execution Of The Privacy Program.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Governance And Operations
Oversee Day-To-Day Privacy Operations To Ensure Alignment With Global Privacy Strategy And Regulatory Requirements.
Maintain And Enhance Privacy Policies, Standards And Procedural Documentation.
Manage Privacy Program Governance Model, Action Items And Reporting Framework.
Track, Analyse And Report Privacy Program Metrics To The Cpo.
Coordinate Internal Privacy Audits And Compliance Reviews In Partnership With Internal Audit And Corporate Compliance.
Work Closely With Legal, Information Security, And Compliance Teams To Align Privacy And Security Practices.
Privacy Compliance Activities
Conduct And Document Dpias And Other Risk Assessments.
Support And Track Dsars And Related Rights Exercises.
Ensure Compliance With Cross-Border Data Transfer Mechanisms, Data Retention Requirements, And Ropas.
Collaborate With Product, Engineering, And Business Teams To Embed Privacy-By-Design And Privacy-By-Default Principles.
Review New Initiatives And Projects To Identify And Mitigate Privacy Risks.
Incident And Vendor Oversight
Act As The Operational Lead For Privacy Incidents, Coordinating Investigations, Root-Cause Analysis, And Remediation With Information Security And Legal.
Support Breach Notification Processes In Compliance With Applicable Laws And Contractual Obligations.
Conduct And Manage Vendor Privacy Assessments, Audits, And Ongoing Monitoring.
Partner With Legal On Contract Reviews And Negotiations To Ensure Adequate Privacy And Data Protection Clauses.
Training, Awareness And Culture
Develop, Deliver, And Maintain Privacy Training And Awareness Programs For Employees, Contractors, And Relevant Third Parties.
Track Training Completion Rates And Measure Program Effectiveness.
Promote A Culture Of Privacy Accountability And Data Protection Across The Organization.
Collaboration And Continuous Improvement
Serve As A Key Point Of Contact For Internal Stakeholders On Operational Privacy Matters.
Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Harmonize Privacy And Security Practices.
Support Automation And Tooling Initiatives To Streamline Privacy Workflows And Reporting.
Qualifications
Minimum Of 5 Years In Privacy Compliance Or Data Protection Program Management Roles.
Strong Knowledge Of Gdpr, Pipeda, Pdpa And Other Global Privacy Regulations.
Exposure To Us Privacy Laws And Regulations Not Required But Valued.
Excellent Program Management, Analytical And Stakeholder Engagement Capabilities.
Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills In English Are Required.
Iapp Certifications (Such As Cipp/E Or Cipm) Strongly Valued.
Experience With Privacy Management Or Grc Tools Is An Asset.
Demonstrated Ability To Work Independently, Influence Without Authority, Manage Competing Priorities, And Collaborate Effectively In A Global, Matrixed Organization.
International Experience Preferred.
