Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Communication and supporting the Sr. Marketing Manager, the Creative Marketing Specialist is a key contributor to the South Shore YMCA’s marketing team, responsible for producing high-quality creative content and managing print and digital marketing initiatives that elevate the YMCA brand and engage the community. This role combines design, content creation, and campaign execution with a focus on creativity, program marketing, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Creative Design & Content
- Design marketing materials for print and digital platforms (flyers, brochures, program guides, signage, social graphics).
- Create engaging social media content, including graphics, videos, and stories.
- Develop email marketing templates and layouts, assist team in executing internal and promotional email campaigns.
- Produce event-related creative assets, including signage, banners, displays, and branded materials for community events, fundraisers, and special programs.
- Coordinate with vendors for commercial printing, ensuring accurate file preparation, color matching, and timely delivery of high-quality materials.
Digital Marketing
- Manage social media channels and implement strategies to grow engagement.
- Assist with website updates across three sites, landing pages, and posting blog/news content.
- Monitor analytics for social media, email, and web performance; provide insights and recommendations.
Campaign Execution
- Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager on seasonal campaigns and program launches.
- Coordinate photography and video shoots; edit and produce visual content.
- Create visual content for community events and fundraisers.
- Maintain marketing calendars and ensure timely delivery of assets.
Brand Management
- Uphold YMCA brand standards across all creative outputs.
- Review and edit materials for accuracy and consistency.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, design, or digital content creation.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic SEO.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Video editing and photography experience.
- Knowledge of CMS platforms (WordPress preferred).
- Understanding of analytics tools (Google Analytics, social insights).
Work Schedule & Expectations
Primarily follows weekday business hours, with occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends required for executive meetings and events.
