We're seeking an experienced Cloud & Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to building scalable, secure solutions that protect millions of users worldwide. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in cloud infrastructure and backend systems to design, implement, and deploy robust software solutions that directly impact our cybersecurity offerings.

We’re hiring for this role in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We have a flexible hybrid work model, where you can work from home on most days, but we would love to see you join us at the office in Eco City once or twice a week.

Key Responsibilities In This Role:

• Design, implement, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions while making informed estimations of work effort and technical risks
• Write clean, maintainable code with a strong focus on automated testing, code reviews, and quality assurance
• Perform application-level design and conduct technical risk assessments to ensure solutions are robust and secure
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving customer issues, taking ownership of technical problems from investigation through resolution
• Collaborate effectively with designers, testers, and other engineers to align on technical solutions and manage dependencies
• Contribute to the evolution of our development processes while ensuring security principles are appropriately integrated throughout the development lifecycle

What are we looking for?

• Solid experience & know-how (e.g. around 3-5+ years) in backend or cloud development
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Rust, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Solid understanding of software design principles, architecture patterns, and secure coding practices
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes) is beneficial
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through complex technical challenges
• Full professional proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and threat landscape
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Experience in agile development environments
• Background in building APIs or integration services

Our Hiring Process

Our hiring process will consist of 2 to 3 interview rounds: introduction interview, team interview and possible final interview. Our aim is to move quickly through the steps and inform each candidate on a timely manner whether they will proceed in the process.
