Job Summary:
The HR Generalist II provides HR knowledge, skill, and service. Works with individuals at all levels of the company to provide guidance for solutions for managers and employees. Provides HR guidance/partnership in one or more of the following areas: staffing, compensation, benefits, and/or employee relations. Supports relentless improvement in processes, supporting a project for a business-unit initiative and/or internal HR programs, data gathering and analysis, manager coaching and training, and employee training and engagement. Acts as an important partner for onboarding programs, addresses company policy questions, and trains managers in HR policies and procedures.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Executes on employee issues. Provides guidance. Explains and interprets policies and practices.

Assists middle managers and employees with development coaching based on current programs in the portfolio. 

Provides hands-on support to employees and managers and identifies trends for improvement and training.

Aids Centers of Excellence (COE) with HR compliance through reviews of policies and legislation. 

Manages investigations (Tier 1 and Tier II). Performs initial intake and consults with Sr HR Generalist where escalation and recommendations lead to a performance action.  

Provides management training on HR policies and procedures in a group or individual setting.

Continually enhances knowledge of state and federal regulations and current trends/practices pertaining to HR. Attends training and educational courses to enhance knowledge of all HR areas. 

Understands the need for appropriate data privacy protections when working with employee data. 

5% Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.
• Typically requires 2-4 years of professional experience, and general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job.
• Ability to apply privacy concepts rooted in core privacy principles, like Data Minimization, when collecting, using, or sharing personal information of our job candidates and employee

Collaboration is generally conducted in person unless the role has been pre-approved for remote work.
